| First of all the positive news!
Even while Validus (horde) is struggling after their near disintegration as a guild, they are still capable of clearing Serpentshrine Cavern in just a week, something most other guilds are still having trouble with. Much cudos to them for taking the time and effort to attune so many new players to the current high-end instances of Mount Hyjal and Black Temple.
While this leave Aerial as the uncontested top horde guild, there are some newcomers on the raiding scene that truly deserves the most credit on this server. Immortal Legion, while not technically a new guild is a guild that is currently rising to ever greater heights in their own pace. Masquerade as a recently born guild under the leadership of Behlial has gone from a complete backwater Karazhan raiding guild struggling on Maiden to the impressive status of 5/6 and 3/4, SSC and TK respectively, in just a month. It'll be a sound wager that one of these two guilds is the next Mount Hyjal/Black Temple guild on The Venture Co.
That's amazing.
Alliance side, Guild of Maeris - formely known as YOGS (Ye Olde Goone Squade) - has suddenly caught a second wind and is storming at an incredibly pace through Mount Hyjal and Black Temple. A speed which rivals the current top guilds not just on this server but also world wide. Gone from server 6th guild they climbed 3 ranks to rank 3rd on the realm, only slightly behind Aerial in the contest for Illidan. Redrum Inc, though, still remain the absolute top guild on The Venture Co. Having now cleared the way to Illidan it will soon be game over for the current content and they look in good shape to defeat Illidan before the Sunwell Plateau, 2.4 patch. From me to Redrum Inc: Best of Everything in the world, and best of luck getting things just right!
It looks to indeed be good times for The Venture Co ahead in the next few months. And congratulations to all the guilds for their success.
Yet, there's still some bad news. The Venture Co has apparently always been a place of drama and bad blood. Nothing at the present seems to have altered that. This war between guilds has also moved on to more drastic things - one of them having this page as its victim.
Realm History is an independant page that really only exists as an offer and a service to WoW players around the world. When individuals starts to target Realm History, everyone suffers. This page is all stickies combined and compiled into one single page where you, as a player, can search for a huge and varied crowd of information. As a new thing you can check out Arena rankings, teams - but it doesn't stop there, you have a comprehensive list of guilds, their progression, webpage; you have crafters stopping by and offering their services.
When an independant community like this gets attacked by a few malicious and ego-centered players (Droo, *cough*) everyone gets hurt. Lately through a mistake and somewhat incompetence the sticky with Realm History was taken down and removed. This not only complicates the easy access to this page it also makes it harder for new forum readers to find relevant information.
I will not sit idly by when things like these happen and I hope to have Realm History soon normalized.
In the mean time, you should rejoice that The Venture Co is doing so well and has so many offers to everyone. There's a huge number of guilds for our small population that enjoys high-end raiding, there's a huge crowd of Roleplayers that are ready to offer you great RP experiences (Battle for Hillsbrad anyone?). And in general, the server is thriving as never before.
Cheers everyone. |
