The past few weeks has been riddled with rumors and a few shocking turn of events, and we don't mean the appearance of certain "corpse-graffiti" made by anonymous level 1 alts scattered in front of the Orgrimmar auction house.
Various sources indicate that Weak Sauce, one of the top Horde raiding guilds, appears to be taking an official break for an indefinite amount of time. Many of the core raiders have reportedly been busy with real-life obligations, including work and college. We wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors.
Another symptom of summer appears to be affecting the recent guild activity of Immortality, reinventing itself with a new guild name, Stasis, before ultimately returning to its original name. With its guild leader allegedly quitting, the imminent demise becomes apparent in the mass exodus of its core members leaving for other guilds.
Enclave showed a lot of potential in its pursuit in forming an Alliance raiding guild after re-rolling from Lightninghoof to The Forgotten Coast, but it looks like the journey has come to an end. They were able to make some impressive progress through Normal Ulduar in the two months since re-rolling, so congratulations on reaching your goal before the split.
Finally, the most unexpected turn of events involves a handful of leading Horde PvE progression guilds. Due to some clever exploits of Flame Leviathan's boss-pathing, the hard-mode Heroic achievement, Orbit-uary, suddenly becomes easy-mode. Unfortunately, Blizzard considers this particular strategy to be a bannable offense, and members involved ended up with a 3-day penalty.
In terms of other Heroic hard-mode progression, the latest updates can be found on The Forgotten Coast's WoWWiki page.
Also, congratulations to Stigmatic of K I N E T I C for acquiring the server's first Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings. Orange is definitely the new purple. |
