October the 13th update
Q: What's Third Degree up to these days Chauchat?
A: The relationship which I might tentatively venture to aver has been not without some degree of reciprocal utility and perhaps even occasional gratification, is emerging a point of irreversible bifurcation and, to be brief, is in the propinquity of its ultimate regrettable termination.
Q: Was there a future to Third Degree Chauchat? Straight answer!
A: If you ask me for a straight answer, then I shall say that, as far as we can see, looking at it by and large, taking one thing with another in terms of the average of Frostwhisper's merger life spans, then in the final analysis it is probably true to say, that at the end of the day, in general terms, you would probably find that, not to put too fine a point on it, there probably wasn't very much in it one way or the other. As far as one can see, at this stage.
TL;DR: Third time was not a charm.

October the 13th update
Hopefully.
Third Degree is the tag under which you'll see the raiding core of Almost Skilled and Severance at least in the near future and under which they'll try to fight for being the first to liberate the Sunwell Plateau.
Deja vu? Yes. It was named Tainted before the Burning Crusade and Plan B during it, and the ending of both gave this sort of solution a bad reputation on Frostwhisper, although for some the purpose was always achieved -- like splinters! or keeping onto your members! for a lil' bit more. And while it still happens between players who perhaps know of each other a little bit too much just like in the past, this time is Horde side, between two guilds with less bad blood and which weren't exactly on their last breath on their own and perhaps third time
IS a charm.
Between Tigertooth and Aethalas perhaps it should work. It will work if their members will sync in fast enough, as then Kil'jaeden will really struggle to remain in Azeroth. Are there plans for this merger beyond that after all? Time will tell. Worse comes to worst, both of them have strong enough cores to simply go back from exactly where they left their own guild tags.
As one who wrote about Almost Skilled clearing this and slaying that and then clearing that and slaying this, back and forth, over the past two years, and who spent quite a bit of time leaping around that huge fully armored
Tigertooth (Severance) at 5 a.m. in Shattrah's banks, I can say I'll remember the names fondly. Still, best of luck Third Degree!
