That was the week that was...

So we come to the end of a quiet week, free transfers are no longer available, and seemingly not much has changed; you still see the same old faces around, same guilds, same empty, echoing promenades in Ironforge and Orgrimmar. Agamaggan plods on in much the same way it has for the past six months, right?

Well no, not really. And if you find yourself agreeing with above paragraph, I can only assume you’ve spent the last seven days blindfolded and living in a fallout shelter deep underground. This last week has seen the realm transformed. Free transfers have seen Horde ranks swell to unprecedented numbers, with too many guilds to mention setting up home on the server, while a more modest but still sizeable number of Alliance players have made their way over from servers as far and wide as Magtheridon and Shadowmoon.

PvE progress on the realm has received a boost, with both newcomers and older Agamaggan guilds continuing to build on the good work of the last few weeks.

On the Alliance side we’ve seen the first clearing of Serpenthsrine Cavern by Nal Ra - complete with a string of server firsts - on the 13th. Meanwhile Darksun ventured into Tempest Keep and downed Void Reaver, and Cursed Angels kept up their recent momentum by taking down Gruul on the 14th.

Again in Serpentshrine, we’ve seen Morogrim Tidewalker sent to his own watery grave for a server first by Deleo, while Unsanctioned Violence have downed Hydross the Unstable, making them the 4th guild on Agamaggan to have killed SSC’s first boss.

Staying with the Horde and The Noble Europeans have been making swift progress through Karazhan, with their latest victim being the Shade of Aran. Hopefully they won’t be alone, and we can expect to see more new guilds making their way through Karazhan and venturing into 25 man instances in the coming weeks.

On a final note, and although it’s been said many times on the realm forums, may I extend a warm welcome to all our new realm-mates, wherever you’re from and whatever your faction. It’s a real pleasure to suddenly see Agamaggan alive again, and I hope everyone feels at home on the server.

Enjoy your weekend,

Reiko.
